Logou Charin Publications - multisensory books - is a newly established boutique publishing house based in Chalandri. When publishing books, one of our main goals is to communicate their content in ways that incorporate as many senses as possible. Bilingual fairy tales, plays, activity books, educational books, language learning books, books on alternative therapies and self-improvement, literary books, and many more are included in our wide selection. In addition to these, we not only offer audio and video books but a Braille transcription of our books as an integral part of our library.

“The Folktales”

Inspired by our tradition, the “The Folktales” collection includes fairytales based on Greek folk songs, which
have long been sung and loved in Greek culture since olden times.
My idea and inspiration were exactly this: to write, with all due respect to the tradition, “my own” fairy tales
for children based on our folk songs and accompanied by a theatrical adaptation of each tale. Fairytales are
our timeless companion, from childhood to adulthood, because behind their superficial simplicity lie deep
truths that teach the important values of life in a universal way.
Each book includes a fairytale in a bilingual edition so that all Greek-speaking children and their families
can enjoy it wherever they are. An important consideration was the illustration: reminiscent of our past
while touching on and highlighting our traditional folklore, costumes, weaving, and embroidery.
For each tale in the series, there is a special activity book for additional creative and multimodal activities
surrounding each theme. The series is also suitable for drama lessons, music, children’s theatre, puppetry, and video production.
The first song chosen is the well-known song “Dili Dili (Diddley-dee Diddley-ding)”. The place of origin of this
song is said to be the Propontis (Sea of Marmara), Silivria in Eastern Thrace, and Bithynia in Asia Minor. There
is also a different version of the song from Cyprus.
“The Folktales” are already available in Greek-English, Greek-German, Greek-Russian, and Greek-Chinese versions.
 They will also be released in Greek-Arabic, Greek-French, Greek-Japanise,  Greek-Italian, and Greek-Spanish
versions.
